Recipe of Green Tea Cupcakes with Matcha Cream Cheese Frosting

Ingredients


  • 1 Cup cake flour according to requirement.
  • 2.5 Teaspoons baking powder.
  • 1/3 Teaspoon salt.
  • 1/3 Cup unsalted butter at room temperature.
  • 1/2 Cup fine granulated sugar.
  • 3 Eggs.
  • 1/2 Teaspoon vanilla extract.
  • Zest of 3 lemons.
  • 1/2 Cup green tea.
  • Steep a green tea bag for about 3 minutes.
  • Measure 1/2 cup brewed.

Frosting


  • 1 package (9 ounces) cream cheese at room temperature.
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter at room temperature.
  • 2.5 cups powdered sugar.
  • 1.5 tablespoon matcha powder.
  • Zest of 2 lemon.
  • 10 fortune cookies, for garnish.
